Confirmation
“Everyone who confesses me before others, I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven.”
Why Confirmation?
Confirmation whether for adults or youths, is when an individual has completed a study of the Bible and the teachings in the catechism and desires the following three things:
To become a confirmed member at St. Peter Lutheran Church
To publicly profess their faith and their commitment to a life of faith
To receive the Lord’s Supper with our congregation

Youth Confirmation at St. Peter
At St. Peter, we have a pre-confirmation program in which most of our youths who wish to be confirmed participate. A shepherd knows his sheep and his sheep know him. Time is God’s Word together is the best way to form a bond of trust between the pastor and member. This also begins instilling the habit of gathering weekly around God’s Word outside of the Sunday services and the school day.
Youths who are in at least 6th grade can begin the program. They can be confirmed at the end of seventh grade (or after). We have combined our pre-confirmation classes with Sunday morning Sunday School. Not only will this provide a fun community in which to learn the truths of the faith, it is also a group where our youth can continue to grow in their faith through high school.
During their time in our pre-confirmation class, one of the most important habits to develop is regular attendance at Sunday Worship. As they grow and mature in their faith, we expect students and their families to place a high priority on worshipping regularly and becoming involved in the life of the congregation.
Pre-Confirmation Registration
Our 2026-2027 class will be on Sundays from 10:30-11:15 am and will begin on September 20.
