Confirmation

“Everyone who confesses me before others, I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven.”
— Matthew 10:32

Why Confirmation?

Confirmation whether for adults or youths, is when an individual has completed a study of the Bible and the teachings in the catechism and desires the following three things:

  • To become a confirmed member at St. Peter Lutheran Church

  • To publicly profess their faith and their commitment to a life of faith

  • To receive the Lord’s Supper with our congregation

Youth Confirmation at St. Peter

At St. Peter, we have a two-year catechism program in which most of our youths who wish to be confirmed participate. This can be through any WELS Lutheran elementary school including our own Christ-St. Peter Lutheran School or it can also be with Pastor Dunn on Sundays at 1 pm.

Youths who are in at least 6th grade can begin the program, but anyone through high school can participate.

During their time in our catechism class, one of the most important habits to develop is regular attendance at Sunday Worship. As they grow and mature in their faith, we expect students and their families to place a high priority on worshipping regularly and becoming involved in the life of the congregation.

Youth Confirmation Registration

Our 2023-2024 class will be on Sundays from 1-2:30 pm and will begin on September 17.
