Weddings

Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
— Mark 10:9

Why Marriage?

Marriage is the personal and public commitment that a man and a woman make to each other to be united to each other and faithful until death.

In Genesis we are told, “For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will remain united with his wife, and they will become one flesh.”

Paul says that marriage is a mystery in that we not only learn about marriage by considering the bridegroom Christ and his bride the church, but also that we learn about Christ and the church through marriage.

Marriage is thus a testimony of Christ’s love that a married couple shares with the world. God richly blesses marriage through the unity they have as they are no longer two but one.

Weddings at St. Peter

If you would like to have your wedding at St. Peter or have Pastor Dunn officiate your wedding elsewhere, please fill out the registration form below.

Pastor Dunn takes every couple through a pre-marriage class that consists of meeting at least five times before the ceremony. This allows them to discuss the keys to a successful marriage: Foundation, Communication, Forgiveness, and Sacrifice.

As a part of the premarriage counseling, each couple will take the Prepare-Enrich Marriage assessment which costs $35 per couple. This is the only cost for the premarriage counseling and includes the assessment and a workbook for each couple.
