THE SERVICE

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? HE LIVES TO TAKE ME FROM DEATH TO LIFE

Without the resurrection of Jesus, death would appear permanent. No one would have come back from the dead to explain what happens after death. Jesus told his disciples what would happen. But they were slow to believe the Easter truth. God ensured that his people had witnesses to assure that Jesus did not remain dead.

He lives, and it makes a difference! I too shall live. Death has become a pathway into paradise. Jesus has already made me spiritually alive by giving me faith in his resurrection. In every possible way, Jesus takes me from death to life.

EASTER DIALOGUE

Christ is risen!
He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Jesus Christ was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
In all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade.

This inheritance is kept in heaven for us.

Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in him will live, even though they die.
And those who live by believing in him will never die.

I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another.

Since you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
When Christ, who is our life, appears, we will appear with him in glory.

Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here; he has risen!

This is the day the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Christ has indeed been raised from the dead.

CONFESSION OF FAITH Nicene Creed 325 & 381 AD

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became truly human. Ofrecemos un servicio en inglés con traducciones en español y karen para toda la familia en las comunidades de Walker’s Square y Walker's Point. En nuestro servicio nos reunimos delante de nuestro Dios todopoderoso para ofrecerle nuestra adoración y alabanza. También nos congregamos para escuchar la santa y poderosa Palabra de Dios y para celebrar sus sacramentos que dan la vida. Por estos medios, Dios fortalece nuestra fe y nos trae siempre más cerca a nuestro hogar eterno. Se invita a la congregación a cantar y hablar las partes del servicio impresas en negrita.

INFORMACIÓN Y NOTAS DEL SERVICIO

Baños—Hay un baño ubicado por la entrada de la iglesia. Los baños adicionales también se encuentran abajo.

Niños en el servicio—Animamos a todos nuestros niños a quedarse y participar con nosotros en el servicio. Sin embargo, si necesita un espacio tranquilo para su hijo, tenemos una habitación privada disponible por la entrada de la iglesia.

EL SERVICIO

QUÉ DIFERENCIA HACE? ÉL VIVE PARA LLEVARME DE LA MUERTE A LA VIDA.

Sin la resurrección de Jesús, la muerte parecería permanente. Nadie habría regresado de entre los muertos para explicar qué sucede después de la muerte. Jesús les dijo a sus discípulos lo que ocurriría; sin embargo, ellos tardaron en creer la verdad de la Pascua. Dios se aseguró de que su pueblo contara con testigos para confirmar que Jesús no permaneció muerto.

¡Él vive, y eso marca la diferencia! Yo también viviré. La muerte se ha convertido en un camino hacia el paraíso. Jesús ya me ha dado vida espiritual al concederme fe en su resurrección. De todas las formas posibles, Jesús me lleva de la muerte a la vida.

DIÁLOGO DEL DOMINGO DE RESURRECCIÓN

¡Cristo ha resucitado!
¡Ha resucitado verdaderamente! ¡aleluya!

Él fue entregado a la muerte por nuestros pecados, y resucitó para nuestra justificación.
En consecuencia, ya que hemos sido justificados mediante la fe, tenemos paz con Dios.

Por lo tanto, ya no hay ninguna condenación para los que están unidos a Cristo Jesús,
En todo esto somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó.

La muerte ha sido devorada por la victoria.

¡Alabado sea Dios, Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo! Por su gran misericordia, nos ha hecho nacer de nuevo mediante la resurrección de Jesucristo, para que tengamos una esperanza viva y recibamos una herencia indestructible, incontaminada e inmarchitable.
Tal herencia está reservada en el cielo para nosotros.

Jesús es la resurrección y la vida. Los que creen en él vivirán, aunque mueran.
Y todos los que viven y creen en él, no morirán jamás.

Yo sé que mi Redentor vive, y que al final triunfará sobre la muerte.
Con mis propios ojos. Yo mismo espero verlo, espero ser yo quien lo vea, y no otro.

Ya que han resucitado con Cristo, busquen las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la derecha de Dios.
Cuando Cristo, que es la vida de ustedes, se manifieste, entonces también ustedes serán manifestados con él en gloria.

¿Por qué buscan entre los muertos al que vive?

SEGUNDA LECTURA 1 Corintios 15:1–11

Cristo ha resucitado verdaderamente de entre los muertos.

15 Ahora, hermanos, quiero recordarles el evangelio que les prediqué, el mismo que recibieron y en el cual se mantienen firmes. 2 Mediante este evangelio son salvos, si se aferran a la palabra que les prediqué. De otro modo, habrán creído en vano.

3 Porque ante todo les transmití a ustedes lo que yo mismo recibí: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados según las Escrituras, 4 que fue sepultado, que resucitó al tercer día según las Escrituras, 5 y que se apareció a Cefas, y luego a los doce. 6 Después se apareció a más de quinientos hermanos a la vez, la mayoría de los cuales vive todavía, aunque algunos han muerto. 7 Luego se apareció a Jacobo, más tarde a todos los apóstoles, 8 y por último, como a uno nacido fuera de tiempo, se me apareció también a mí.

9 Admito que yo soy el más insignificante de los apóstoles y que ni siquiera merezco ser llamado apóstol, porque perseguí a la iglesia de Dios. 10 Pero por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy, y la gracia que él me concedió no fue infructuosa. Al contrario, he trabajado con más tesón que todos ellos, aunque no yo sino la gracia de Dios que está conmigo. 11 En fin, ya sea que se trate de mí o de ellos, esto es lo que predicamos, y esto es lo que ustedes han creído.

El relato de la victoria pascual de Cristo.

28 Después del sábado, al amanecer del primer día de la semana, María Magdalena y la otra María fueron a ver el sepulcro.

2 Sucedió que hubo un terremoto violento, porque un ángel del Señor bajó del cielo y, acercándose al sepulcro, quitó la piedra y se sentó sobre ella. 3 Su aspecto era como el de un relámpago, y su ropa era blanca como la nieve. 4 Los guardias tuvieron tanto miedo de él que se pusieron a temblar y quedaron como muertos.

5 El ángel dijo a las mujeres: —No tengan miedo; sé que ustedes buscan a Jesús, el que fue crucificado. 6 No está aquí, pues ha resucitado, tal como dijo. Vengan a ver el lugar donde lo pusieron. 7 Luego vayan pronto a decirles a sus discípulos: “Él se ha levantado de entre los muertos y va delante de ustedes a Galilea. Allí lo verán.” Ahora ya lo saben.

8 Así que las mujeres se alejaron a toda prisa del sepulcro, asustadas pero muy alegres, y corrieron a dar la noticia a los discípulos. 9 En eso Jesús les salió al encuentro y las saludó. Ellas se le acercaron, le abrazaron los pies y lo adoraron. 10 —No tengan miedo—les dijo Jesús—. Vayan a decirles a mis hermanos que se dirijan a Galilea, y allí me verán.

Éste es el Evangelio de Dios.

CONFESIÓN DE LA FE El Credo Niceno 325 & 381 d.C.

Creo en un solo Dios, Padre todopoderoso, creador del cielo y de la tierra, y de todo lo visible e invisible.

Y creo en un solo Señor Jesucristo, Hijo único de Dios, engendrado del Padre antes de todos los siglos, Dios de Dios, luz de luz, Dios verdadero de Dios verdadero, engendrado, y no creado, de la misma naturaleza que el Padre, por quien todo fue hecho; por nosotros y por nuestra salvación, él bajó del cielo, y por obra del Espíritu Santo se encarnó de María la virgen, y se hizo hombre; y por nuestra causa fue crucificado en tiempos de Poncio Pilato: Padeció y fue sepultado, y resucitó al tercer día, según las escrituras: Y subió al cielo, y está sentado a la derecha del Padre; y de nuevo vendrá con gloria para juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos, y su reino no tendrá fin.

Y creo en el Espíritu Santo, Señor y dador de vida, que procede del Padre y del Hijo, que con el Padre y el Hijo recibe una misma adoración y gloria, que habló por los profetas. Y creo en una sola iglesia, santa, apostólica, y universal. Reconozco un solo bautismo para el perdón de los pecados, y espero la resurrección de los muertos y la vida del mundo que ha de venir.
